Planning

Assistance and guidance to organisations in the development of plans to suit their particular needs. Reporting lines; temporary organisational structures; activation procedures; staff functions; liaison requirements; monitoring; and co-ordination of company responses are all items that need to be addressed. A visit to the site is not necessary and Drafts can be prepared quite inexpensively.

Exercise Design and Conduct

Plans are only as good as the people applying them. We have had considerable experience in the design and conduct of exercises covering such varied events as explosions causing deaths; product contamination; pollution; extortion; being the target of action groups; natural disasters; and evacuations. Drafts can be prepared, again without visiting the site, and full instructions developed, including umpiring notes for measurement of many practical considerations.

Facilitation of your own staff

Planning to deal with events which are beyond the experience of your own staff doesn't mean they have nothing to contribute. In fact, your own staff are a valuable resource. On-site co-ordination for a concentrated period of plan development may be an economical way to prepare your organisation. The House of Auchmeddan can assist in this by acting as Facilitator.

Audit of existing plans

It is often useful to have an "outsider" view the plans your organisation has developed. Confidentiallity is assured when you arrange to have us look in detail at your plans.

Reviews of events or near misses

The one thing that organisations need to ensure is that they have learned from their mistakes. By involving the House of Auchmeddan in the conduct of a review, their experiences from across a broad spectrum of organisations can be brought to the review.
